Mission vintage shop Clothes Contact has been plagued by closing rumors ever since a Craiglist posting advertised that the space would be available for rent within two months. (Monthly rent: $14,000. Yikes.) Mission Mission jumped in to investigate, and learned from a store employee that the shop would remain open "at least through the end of the year." But vintage fans —faced with a future that doesn't involve buying clothes by the pound— remained skeptical.
If you were one of the Clothes Contact doubters, perhaps this sign will assuage your fears? After 28 years in business, the management wants customers know that it won't leave Burning Man and Halloween shoppers in a lurch. See? Even the unstoppable commercial real estate market respects our local obsession with costumes.
