For months, there have been rumblings that Barry's Bootcamp would be invading the Bay Area, but the specifics remained top secret. Finally, we have details about when and where San Franciscans will be able to partake in the cardio-strength combo craze described (by the company) as the "best workout in the world."
According to the company's website, SF's first Barry's Bootcamp base will be in SoMa at 236 King Street, near the CalTrain station and AT&T Park. There's no official opening date yet, but a rep for the gym tells us that it will be Spring 2014.
Now for the posh extras. The Bay's first Barry's will offer free towel service, locker rooms and showers stocked with BB's signature Malin + Goetz beauty products, and a FuelBar for post-class protein shakes. (If it's anything like the West Hollywood location, there will be plenty of hottie instructors, too.)
Barry's claims that no other workout can change your body faster than its 1,000 calorie sweatfest. Come spring, you can test that theory for yourself.
