San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood is home to one of the best and most lined-up-for brunches in the city: Brenda's French Soul Food. Trust us, it's worth the wait for the beignets (both sweet and savory), gumbo, fried oysters, and buttermilk pancakes, just to name a few mouth-watering menu items. After all that waiting, you will eat a lot, and the last thing you'll want to do is sit in your car or on the bus, so why not take a little tour of the 'loin,—possibly one of the last gentrification hold-outs in SF. It may be rough around the edges, but there are diamonds in the rough to be found and amazing shopping to be done. Click through to the map to follow along to spend a perfect Saturday in the Tenderloin.
