There's a new blogging platform in town, and it aims to streamline and simplify the art of visual storytelling. It's called Storehouse, and although content can only be created on an iPad, the published product is a responsive webpage that can be viewed on all devices. Co-founders Mark Kawano and Timothy Donnelly decided to develop the app when they noticed other publishing platforms taking the leap onto mobile.
The sleek layout of the user-generated webpages is what ultimately sets apart Storehouse. Fashion brand Alice + Olivia used it recently to reimagine its lookbooks, and also created a visual story for its recent collaboration with Pamela Love, featuring product in an experience that goes beyond the traditional photo portfolio. Kawano tells VentureBeat that there are no formal partnerships, so A+O's organic adoption of the platform might mean other fashion brands will follow suit.
