Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The custom suit brand that will pour you a scotch then take a digital scan of your body to get the perfect fit is coming soon to San Francisco. Alton Lane, which has showrooms in New York, Washington D.C., Boston, Dallas, Richmond and Chicago is finally making a move across the country to the West Coast, and its first city on the Pacific is San Francisco.
The brand will face some pretty serious competition from the likes of Wingtip, Bonobos, and J. Hilburn. Like those brands, Alton Lane allows you creative control of your suit right down to the buttons—though it's the only one with a body scanner that we're aware of. We'll keep you posted on an opening date and address!
