At first glance, we thought the Betsy & Iya Golden Gate Bridge cuff we found in The Bold Italic's online shop was some kind of wrist-based Rorschach test: Could it be that what we saw in the bracelet said more about us than the design itself? Because it was a cute cuff, but it looked nothing like our city's more famous bridge.
Eventually, we turned to Google Images. (Maybe it was really the opening credits of Full House. We'll never tell.) The point is, we see it now. The insets in the bracelet are the same shape as the cutouts in the bridge's towers. The negative space between the insets forms the suspension cables. It's all there. And with the bridge's construction date and geographic coordinates etched on inside surface, it could be a conversation piece for years to come.
