Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Yesterday we told you about the indie shopping to be had at Bazaar Bizarre. Well, you have some decisions to make because hyper-local online publication The Bold Italic is partnering with 5M Project to put on Gift Shop, an independent San Francisco marketplace this weekend. The local shopping extravaganza will feature SF-made gifts including clothing, jewelry, home decor, and lots more.
Vendors include Joshu +Vela bags, Stolen Sunday scarves, Heartbreak Hotel vintage, Curiosity Atlas, Casa Murriguez housewares, Capital Eyewear, Salty Fox jewelry, The Kengarden, Buy Me Brunch T-shirts, and Tablehopper, plus there will be free Skeeball courtesy of Joey the Cat, a Snap Yourself! Holiday Photo Booth, bites, and free drinks. Bonus: get a $5 coupon good at any vendor plus 20 percent off at The Bold Italic's booth if you use Square Wallet!
If you're a local craftperson and would like to bring your own wares to sell, apply here!
It's all going down on Saturday Dec 1 from 11am to 5pm and Sunday Dec 2 from 12pm to 5pm at The Bold Italic Headquarters, 34 Page Street between Franklin and Oak.
