Party With Do-Gooder Sunglass Purveyors Westward Leaning

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Each pair of sunglasses from San Francisco-based Westward Leaning is linked with a charity. For example, the Number 4 Teddy Roosevelts are made using sustainably-sourced antlers collected by Boy Scouts from the National Elk Refuge, and proceeds benefit National Parks. The Mercury Sevens incorporate aluminum and support America's future astronauts by sending proceeds to the National Science Teachers Association. The Love Thy Neighbors incorporate Chaquira beads and proceeds go to Love Thy Neighbor Mexico. Awesome, right?

Check out all their models and benefactors here. And party it up with them tonight at Unspeakable Projects Gallery, 735 Tehama Street in San Francisco from 6 to 9pm tonight. RSVP here.
