We were pretty down in the mouth about Candystore Collective shuttering its brick and mortar retail space in the Mission last month. But we were happy that their online shop would live on, and now we're even more pleased to announce that Cary Lane is taking over the former Candystore space on 16th Street (between Valencia and Guerrero).
Cary Lane is a designer outlet of sorts where you can find high-end men's and women's pieces at major markdowns. "Designer outlet" doesn't really do it justice, though. The merch you'll find here isn't overflowing in piles or damaged or anything like that. It's carefully curated by Cary Lane LaScala, who also happens to be a badass drummer who has played with Blondie plus the dudes from The Black Keys, The Killers and the Foo Fighters. And don't worry, the Hayes Valley subterranean locale at 560 Laguna isn't going anywhere.
Hey, do you know of an opening we should shout about from the hilltops? Let us know!
