It kind of feels like doomsday in the Bay Area today, doesn't it? Gusting winds, downpours, bone-chilling (to us) temperatures. Just waiting for the Mayan-predicted apocalypse. But if we get lucky and the world doesn't end, here are three sure-to-be-killer parties where you can celebrate the continuation of life on earth.
Fiat Lux is throwing a "Diamonds Doomsday" party, which as doomsday parties go has got to be the best kind. Owners Marie and Alexei are introducing big, beautiful, conflict-free diamond rings to their shop. Join them from 7 to 11pm at 218 Church Street (at Market) for delish beverages and diamond baubles.
The Harputs Holiday Extravaganza tonight from 6pm to 8pm will feature the Union Square boutique's famous Saint Germain cocktails, new merch, and major end-of-year deals. It's happening at 80 Geary Street between Grant and Kearny.
The Brooklyn Circus, a men's new and vintage clothing shop at 1521 Fillmore Street, is throwing a Holiday Happy Hour featuring gifts for less than $100 (like driving caps and graphic T-shirts), a specially spiked hot holiday drink, and a free limited edition tote with every purchase. Be there tonight from 6 until 9pm.
