San Francisco Symphony conductor Michael Tilson Thomas was best dressed among a slew of local celebrities who attended the opening of The Book of Mormon at the Curran Theather last week. The highly-anticipated opening drew the likes of Mayor Ed Lee, the rarely-spotted Tom Waits, Lars Ulrich, and former Mayor Willie Brown.
Mr. Thomas stood out in an electric blue jacket and tie, a black shirt and blue Harry Potter-esque glasses. The former mayor looked fetching as well in his ubiquitous fedora and checked suit. But we give the best-dressed title to the conductor for his flamboyant use of color. We're pretending we don't see the sea of weathered denim in the photo of folks waiting in line for the show. Where, pray tell, was the women's fashion? Oh, and we hear the performance was fantastic!
