San Francisco-based footwear brand Freda Salvador, after a full-throttle launch in 2012, shows no signs of slowing down in 2013. Fashion Group International has nominated co-founders Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo-Nelson for the Rising Star Award in the accessories division.
Shortly after a stellar kick-off party at La Boutique (where you can also purchase the footwear) in September, Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie and Shopbop quickly picked up the super cute booties and loafers. The co-founders also recently announced plans to open a workshop-slash-storefront on Union Street.
Last year's Rising Star Award winners include Wes Gordon, Misha Nonoo of Nonoo, Simon Spurr, Blythe Harris of Stella & Dot, and Wendy Brandes. Good luck to Papay and Palomo-Nelson!
