Happy Inauguration Day! Did you know that the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (a.k.a. FIDM) threw a fashion show in honor of the big event? There are 18 photos of dudes in suits, society folks and politicians, and two photos of the fashion in SF Gate's image gallery of the "California State Society's 2013 Presidential Inaugural Luncheon and Fashion Show," which happened on Friday at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C. It was nice to see that the mayors of Alameda (Marie Gilmore) and San Francisco (Ed Lee), were in attendance, along with several other local members of congress. But if you'd like to see more of Los Angeles designer Kevan Hall's gowns, which were heavy on the primary colors and sparkles, check out this press preview.
