Nespresso has taken the selling of single-serving coffee makers to a whole other level with its enormous new shop on Grant Avenue in Union Square. The 7,400 square-foot, two-level space features an iPad bar and a lounge area where guests can enjoy coffee and a light breakfast or lunch. In the boutique, get educated on all Nespresso products. The "self selection" room is for Nespresso club members only, who can check out with a single swipe of their membership card.

The space, which opened in December, was designed by Aldo Parisotto and Futurebrand Paris. It's the brand's first retail location in California and the company has plans for one in L.A. later this year. It threw a grand opening party last night, but if you didn't make it, you can check out the space in person at 90 Grant Avenue, or view our gallery from the comfort of home. Either way, the slick, Euro-ness is palpable.
