After going decades without a Target store within city limits, San Francisco is getting its second CityTarget next Wednesday, October 9, almost exactly a year after opening SF's first location in the Metreon in 2012. The 119,000 square-foot store will be at 2675 Geary Boulevard at Masonic.
They're calling it the San Francisco West CityTarget, and it will offer an "edited assortment" of Target merchandise, including clothing, accessories and home goods. This location will also sell fresh produce, meats and bakery items, and will have an on-site Starbucks and Pharmacy. Just remember, you still might want to trek to Daly City when Peter Pilotto x Target rolls around on February 9 to avoid the sad faces we saw on opening day of the Philip Lim collab—the Metreon CityTarget had no bags, no Boom! merch, and no accessories. You've got plenty of time to get friendly with BART.
