PALO ALTO—Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 2 from 6 to 8pm, the Patagonia store at 525 Alma Street will host an event to support a huge new national park in Chilean Patagonia called Conservacion Patagonica preserve the threatened land and wildlife in that region. The park will create 650,000 protected acres including camping facilities and 70 miles of trails. Kris Tompkins, former CEO of Patagonia and founder of Conservacion Patagonica, will give a short presentation on the initiative, during which you can sip beer and/or wine plus munch on hors d'oeuvres provided by Jesse Cool Restaurants and Catering.
