San Francisco-based Pinterest may be the go-to app for many fashion-obsessed, but it's certainly not the only great style-centric app to come out of the Bay Area. We've rounded up some of the coolest apps for buying, selling, and writing fashion.

StylSavvy—StylSavvy makes head-to-toe outfit hunting easier with an interface that allows users to visually pair tops, bottoms, and accessories together so you can match before you buy. If you're stuck on one part of your outfit, StylSavvy will suggest matching pieces. You can also create a virtual closet by uploading images of pieces you already own. Available in the iTunes store.

ShopseenAfter opening a SF vintage shop and art gallery called Vacation with Kristen Klein last year, Adeel Ahmad realized they needed a better way to manage their inventory. So he created the Shopseen, a platform to help keep track of their merchandise, orders, and sales, and now he has made it available to anyone who runs a store. Managers can use Shopseen from their laptops, mobiles, or tablets, and they can sync Shopseen with any of their already existing stores on Etsy or eBay, for example.

SF Girl by Bay's Bohemian Modern San Francisco App—SF blogger Victoria Smith has created her own app to help shoppers find memorable Bay Area shops, including some vintage and thrift that are off the beaten path. The app features an SF map interface that highlights boutiques and gives Victoria's explanations for why they are her favorites. "I don't believe style comes with an expensive price tag," she writes. "Style comes from your soul and trusting your instincts about what's uniquely right for you." Available in the iTunes store.

Catalog SpreeThis digital mall puts all your favorite store catalogs onto one website. You can shop directly from the app, and save a bunch of trees in the process. Available in the iTunes store.

TophatterEver wanted to get in on a live auction for designer bags or jewelry, but didn't want to leave your couch? With Tophatter you can bid on and purchase items live from your iPhone or iPad. Your next treasure awaits—going once, going twice... Available in the iTunes store.

Showcase by FiverunThis sleek "social catalog" allows shop owners to display their products online, and shoppers can browse and share their favorites on social networks including Facebook and Twitter. The tool also helps boutique owners gain intel on which products shoppers are most excited about. Available in the iTunes store.Denise Kitt
