Welcome to Food as Outfit, where we take inspiration from San Francisco's amazing restaurants to create stylish sartorial ensembles.

The rice balls at Nojo in Hayes Valley are not only carb-fully delicious, but their spiky bits of seaweed evoke a punk hairdo, and their shiny green color brings to mind patent leather. The fluffy/sticky white rice has us craving winter whites. Big yums all around.
