Welcome to Party Bites, a series we've borrowed from our sister site where fancy people at glamorous parties answer our probing questions.
Last week, 250 guests gathered at the DZINE showroom for the "Fashion Fund for Families" fundraiser in San Francisco's design district. The goal was to raise awareness and funds for Family Builders, a Bay Area adoption agency that works with foster children to find them permanent homes. Guests sipped wine, checked out beautiful furniture and gawked at models strutting in creations from Marc Jacobs, Philipp Plein, Helen Yarmak and more. Later in the evening, heartfelt speeches followed by a live auction helped cap off a successful night for Family Builders. The raw emotions from the event got us thinking about family and legacy. Above, guests answer the question, "What's the best thing you've inherited from a family member?"—Debbie Min
