Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Burton made good on its promise to open a flagship store this fall: a 2,300-square-foot Berkely location has opened at 1840 Fourth Street, and a Haight-Ashbury location is scheduled to open on December 13, which will take over SFO Snowboarding's 1,500 square-foot space at 1630 Haight Street.

They're the Burlington, Vermont-based brand's first standalone shops in the Bay Area, bringing the company's total stores to eight around the country.
