Season 12 Project Runway contestant and San Mateo resident Alexandria von Bromssen says the show was a very "manipulative environment... especially in the editing," according to an interview with SF Gate. She says she was shocked by how difficult it was to be on the show, that she became very sick at one point, and that the experience was so intense that she didn't even look like herself.

She also says she's not the meany the show made her out to be:

I'm really funny and nice; I'm not that mean and cold. They wanted to make me the villain. Whatever. It's a strategy, it's all a strategy.
