Turns out the rumors were true: Amazon Fresh, the company's same-day grocery delivery service, has launched in San Francisco. It happened a day later than expected, but on Wednesday the service made more than 500,000 grocery items available to 12 Bay Area zip codes. The cost is a bit steeper than the $79 per year Amazon Prime service: Amazon Fresh is $299 per year. You have to order more than $35 worth of groceries and order by 10am to get your delivery by 6pm.
