Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
A sleuthing Racked SF reader has discovered that Uniqlo has opened bidding for the construction of two more Northern California retail locations at the Serramonte Center in Daly City, and at Sunvalley in Concord. The same tipster says he's heard that stores may also be incoming at Oakridge in San Jose as well as Stoneridge in Pleasanton.
Yet, still no love for our friends in Southern California! We asked Uniqlo if they could confirm, and the company said it doesn't comment on rumors, but it expects to issue a press release on their expansion plans sometime in January. We'll keep you posted as announcements are made. Have a tip? Hit us on the tipline.
