This New Chinatown Boutique Has Tons of Stylish Exclusives

Sydney Pfaff, a former San Francisco writer and contributor to local publications including 7x7, Refinery 29, Project Bly, among others, has jumped to the other side of the desk as a shop owner. Her new Chinatown boutique is called Legion, and it carries legions (couldn't help it!) of chic wares you won't find anywhere else in San Francisco—in some cases in all of California.

Cases in point: Legion is the only outpost for KAAREM, a New York apparel brand with Vietnamese roots, and Australian surf- and skate-inspired First Base. Also look for local names including Kathryn McCarron, and Osage Diamonds—hand painted scarves from the designer behind the now-defunct label Serial Cultura.

Legion also carries handbags, jewelry, ceramics, books, paper goods, fragrances, pillows and more from designers and artists all over the country as well as right here in the Bay Area—and we're really just scratching the surface.

Interior-wise, Pfaff told us she loves efficient design. "Every fixture is on wheels to give the narrow space more flexibility. Every rack/shelf/surface in the shop was custom built by Oakland-based master craftsman Eric Peterson." Looks like you have yet another one-stop shop to cross off everyone on your holiday gift-giving list.
