Good news for Kate Spade fans who live south of the (San Francisco) border: Burlingame's booming Burlingame Avenue is about to get a stand-alone Kate Spade boutique. The brand currently has two locations in the city, one at the Stanford Shopping Center and one in San Jose. So the Burlingame location is filling quite a gap between the North an South Bay.

The store will be just a few doors down from Sephora, and will join Trina Turk on Burlingame Avenue as well as new local designers The Podolls, who opened their flagship at 251 Primrose in October. Plus Banana Republic and JCrew, Gap, Lululemon, Pottery Barn and Paper Source also have outposts there. No word on an opening date for Kate Spade, but the company listed manager and assistant manager job openings about a month ago. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted on developments.
