Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After six years in business, The Curiosity Shoppe on Valencia Street is closing up shop. Not even a bigtime collab with Target could keep the boutique, full of fun gifts, books, home decor and art, in business. But the husband-and-wife team, Derek Fagerstrom and Lauren Smith, won't be sitting idle. They are creative directors for the majorly popular Pop-Up magazine.

Their last day in business will be February 17 at the store, and February 8 is your last day to order online. And of course there is always the silver lining sale: everything will be 20% off in-store and online. Catch them while you still can at 855 Valencia Street.
