As Alexander Wang gets ready to present his first collection for Balenciaga in Paris on Thursday, the inimitable Danielle Steel had some very nice things to say about him to the New York Times. Both spent much of their lives in San Francisco, and apparently in his teens, Wang made clothes for the Traina girls. Also the article dismisses the rumor that his parents were Chinese garment makers in the city. [New York Times]
