The duo behind San Francisco-based footwear brand Freda Salvador has opened a chic cobbler's quarters and shoe boutique on Union Street in Cow Hollow.
Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo-Nelson launched the brand in 2012, and their booties and loafers got scooped up by Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie and Shopbop in short order. They were also honored with a nomination by Fashion Group International for the Rising Star Award in the accessories division.
The next step in their plan for world domination was to open a workshop-slash-storefront, and they wasted no time doing it. The new interior features a 19th-century filing system, red seats from the Conservatory of Music, and vintage fashion photography, courtesy of their talented landlord, DailyCandy tells us. They've also added sandals to their bootie and loafer collection for spring, and you can watch the gals working hard at their cobbling stations, too. Check it all out for yourself at 1782 Union Street at Octavia.
