The Junior League tried out a new format for its annual fashion show fundraiser this year, and as a result fell short of its typical fundraising. Lower-priced tickets and a weekend-long event rather than one night of festivities both seem to have contributed to the disappointing numbers. But organizers say they're pleased with the buzz generated by the event, and they hope to work out the kinks for next year. [San Francisco Business Times]
