Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Bonobos, the originally online-only men's store, began testing out a space in Union Square last December. It turns out they quite liked it! They've decided to make 55 Grant Avenue on the second floor a permanent home. They put finishing touches on the decor and completed their move-in earlier this week.
But don't expect to walk in, buy something, and leave with it. Bonobos may have abandoned the online-only model, but it's still not your traditional shop. "Guides" are available to help you find what suits you best (orange chinos, perhaps?), then you order them online and the goods are shipped to your door. All the better to emphasize personal service and a perfect fit, say the Bonobos folks, not to mention no bags to haul around. Check out the gallery for some of the latest Bonobos garb and shots of the spankin' new interior.
