Rumors have been circulating since February about a possible Google retail store, and an anonymous source spilled more details yesterday, according to Buzzfeed, saying San Francisco and Los Angeles will be the first two cities to have Google retail stores.
Google is already hiring staff for the stores, according to the source, which will sell Google products including Glass, the internet-connected glasses that geeks have been rabidly anticipating, and which debuted on Diane von Furstenberg's runway.
The online search company seems increasingly interested in shopping in the brick and mortar world and competing with Apple stores. Last month month, Google launched a beta version of same-day shipping in San Francisco.
