Oakland's Pretty Penny vintage boutique is turning seven, and shop owner Sarah Dunbar has enlisted vintage style blogger Erin Hagstrom of Calivintage to create a not-to-be missed soiree.
Tonight at the shop from 5 to 10pm, Dunbar will unveil Pretty Penny's 2013 lookbook, and both Dunbar and Hagstrom are releasing special vintage collections to shop. Plus, Dunbar is welcoming two new designers to the store. "Pretty Penny is excited to now carry Courtshop denim and local jewelry designer Isobell. We recently acquired two very large clothing estates with the most amazing vintage pieces that guests will be able to shop during the event," Dunbar told us.
And if you admire Hagstrom's style on her personal style blog Calivintage, you'll be happy to know she has curated a pop-up shop for tonight only, featuring items from her own closet. "You can expect an assortment of some of the newer vintage-inspired pieces from my wardrobe and vintage dresses from my ever-growing personal collection. Plenty of peter pan collars and sweet sixties styles for the spring season," Hagstrom says.
Other party favors include a live performance from East Bay indie-pop band Bam! Bam!, gift bags, a tarot card reader, a photo booth, and champagne and cupcakes (naturally). RSVP here.
