You'd never guess by the wild success of the Warby Parker glasses company today, but executives from the company say they kind of screwed up their launch. They had a waiting list of more than 20,000 people who wanted to participate in their try-on-at-home program, but the WP folks had completely run out of frames to ship. So the founder resorted to inviting folks over to the office, i.e. his apartment. Just goes to show: failing can lead to good things. [Racked]
