How to Survive Tomorrow's Six-Hour Rebecca Minkoff Sale

The Rebecca Minkoff sample sale kicks off tomorrow at 10am at the Argonaut Hotel, and it's shaping up to be an epic event. Prepare for hundreds of bags, discounts of up to 75% off and crazed bag ladies elbowing each other to get their favorite styles.

The sale will include shoes and apparel, but the real draw is the bags, of course. We received a copy of the price list, and can confirm that it will range from $25 for small pouches up to $300 for luggage. Get ready to forget what you thought you knew about civilized society. All is fair in love and sample sales.

Most small bags are $125 or less. The Mini MAC, Mini Blake and Mini Affair are $125. The Rocker, 3-Zip Rocker and miniaudiers are $100.

Full-size leather bags mostly run between $175 and $275. MAC and Blake styles are $175; the Affair is $200; and the Large Affair, Amorous Tote, and Jet Setter are $250. The MAB and the Brynn Satchel are $275. (This isn't an exhaustive list of the inventory. There are about 100 styles on the price list.)

In case you haven't committed the entire Rebecca Minkoff range to memory, determining the price of a particular purse is relatively easy. Just find the style name on the hangtag and look for it on the price lists, which are sorted by price point. If you're stumped, ask a staffer.

If the SF sale is anything like the New York sale earlier this month, there will be a large assortment of smaller cross-body styles, so your priority should be one of the higher-priced dream bags. Grab your big-ticket items first, then return to the Mini MAC/Rocker rainbow.

Indecision is not rewarded, so hold onto anything you might want until you make your final selections. If you leave it on a table, it is unlikely to be there when you return.
