Uniqlo Plans Stores in San Jose, East and North Bay

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

We reported in February that Uniqlo would leverage its presence in SF's Union Square and open more Bay Area locations before it moves into the Midwest, which is apparently a bit of a scary proposition. Now, WWD reports those new stores will be in San Jose, East Bay and North Bay.

Uniqlo opened its first West Coast location in San Francisco in October to an overwhelmingly positive reception. Joe Montana and a slew of other local celebs attended the opening, and the store had lines out the door for days afterwards.

Uniqlo also plans to expand to Racked hubs Boston and Philly, woot!
