Fans of Kelly Wearstler's colorful, textural and decadent style will be pleased to know she'll design the Renoir Hotel renovation at 7th and Market for the Kor Group, a real-estate and hotel-management company owned by Wearstler's husband, Brad Korzen. The husband and wife team have previously collaborated on the Avalon and Maison 140 in Los Angeles, and the various Viceroy hotels.

No word yet if Wearstler plans to design the Renoir in the mid-century modern style that she favored in her early days (i.e. the Avalon) or in her now signature ornate and layered style (i.e. the Viceroy) so sought after in her glam-loving stomping grounds of L.A. Whichever she chooses, the hotel is sure to bring much needed flavor to this slice of Mid-Market. The Kor Group describes the new project as a hip, affordable hotel destination, featuring an open floor plan with restaurants and cafés. Look for the hotel to relaunch in 2015.
