Dita Von Teese is performing her Burlesque: Strip Strip Hooray! show to San Francisco tonight through Saturday night at The Fillmore. In advance of the festivities, the SF Bay Guardian chatted with her about body image, beauty and sexual confidence—all kind of expected topics for a seasoned, epically famous burlesque dancer. The surprising part comes at the end of the interview when she discusses her fascination with straight men who like to cross dress:

I was in the airport a few years ago, and I looked over and saw this man, in this swanky lounge, in a full three-piece business suit in these long, dripping diamond earrings and high heels while reading the paper. He was obviously a very powerful, wealthy man. I was so fascinated by watching him. He was living it. It was amazing. I wanted to talk to him so bad, but I get really shy around people like that.

What can we say, us too.

Tickets for Von Teese's show, which as you can see above involves quite elaborate props and a lot of water, are $40, buy them here.
