Welcome to Curbed Cuts, where Curbed SF editor Sally Kuchar shares the top real estate and development news of the week.
PACIFIC HEIGHTS—The long-toiling and very expensive Lafayette Park renovations are finally done, and the city will be holding a reopening party on Saturday. We have glamour shots of what the revamped park looks like.
FARALLON ISLANDS—The Farallon Islands are completely off limits to the public and only accessible to a handful of scientists. But long ago when the Coast Guard and Navy had stations on the island, the Farallons had permanent human inhabitants.
INNER RICHMOND—The Inner Richmond's 300 Cornwall Cubism development consists of six independent homes (one's already in contract) designed by award-winning architect Owen Kennerly. Prices range from $1.495M to $2.295M.
THE MISSION/NOE VALLEY—Do you know about the old San Francisco and San Jose Railroad that ran through Noe Valley and the Mission? We've typed out the complete history for you.
SAN FRANCISCO—The three most expensive residential property sales this week are mighty pricey. The most expensive home sold is a 6-bed, 5.75-bath, 7,260 sq. ft. single-family home in Pacific Heights that fetched $13M.
MOUNTAIN VIEW—Google's been super secretive when it comes to details of its new 1.1 million square foot campus currently under construction in Mountain View. That said, we do know some of the green features planned for the mega-project. Head this way!
THE MISSION—The Mission Community Market is looking to expand their farmers market space on Barlett Street into a permeant civic plaza, with permanent market stalls, pedestrian lighting, and street greening. The project requires the removal of around 40 metered parking spaces, so of course neighbors are going bat shit crazy.
