The Manolo Blahnik BB pump is one of those heels that any woman can wear. Everyone from fashion blogging royalty, like Sea of Shoes' Jane Aldridge, to real royalty, like Kate Middleton, has been spotted wearing the popular shoe. And with good reason: The BB is never going out of style.

So what's a girl to do when the heel that haunts her dreams is nowhere to be found? Order a custom pair, of course.

The Manolo Blahnik made-to-order BB event started at Neiman Marcus this week and will continue through June 30. Shoppers can choose between 5 heel heights, ranging from 2 inches to 4.5 inches (or 50 mm to 150 mm, for you metric purists), and 20 different colors. You can either order online or head to the store to view (and pet) the fabric swatches.

Granted, you can order custom BBs year-round, but a tipster in the shoe department tells us that the advantage of this particular event is that you will receive your made-to-order heels in six weeks as opposed to the usual six months.—Robyn Hagan Cain
