Boutiika's Dash Joins the Same-Day Delivery Race

As evidenced by the retail giants Google, Amazon and Wal-Mart, same-day delivery is the hot trend. But what will happen to the local, indie shops we know and love as offline shopping further moves online? Enter start-up Boutiika's new program Dash, which offers same-day delivery from select SF boutiques for a flat rate of $10.

A few kinks remain like returns (you either pay for return shipping or drive over to the store to make the exchange) and limited selection (plans to expand to more stores are in the works). But should an unexpected date arise while chained to your desk at work, the option to wear this Racer Front Dress from Saffron Rare Threads from office to event should lower the stress level.
