Our sister site Eater SF has called 2013 the Year of the Bakery, with six new bakeries opening in SF so far this year, including b. patisserie, Fournee, Heartbaker, Josey Baker Bread at The Mill, and Barkada and two more—20th Century Cafe and Marla Bakery—incoming. Le Marais in the Marina is the latest, and they're making a banana chocolate croissant. SF Weekly has suggested it's the Bay Area's cronut. We suggest that it's so wonderful that it must be reimagined as an outfit.
