Marc Jacobs has finally created a long-awaited cosmetics line. If you're intrigued, get ready to line up early at your nearest Sephora store (luckily the Bay Area has lots of them!) on August 9. A few days ago, the brand debuted five new products that sold out on Sephora's ecommerce site within hours. The goods included "Lip Vinyl" lip gloss, "Moisture Balm" for lips, "Magic Marc'er Precision Pen" liquid eyeliner, a three-color eyeshadow compact, and a seven-color eyeshadow compact. We're especially excited about the 30 "hi-shine" nail polish colors that are rumored to be named after Marc's favorite movie characters.
The line's first ad campaign features models Edie Campbell and Ondria Harden. Plus, according to Marc Jacobs Beauty's Twitter feed, Sofia Coppola donned MJ's makeup at the Met Gala in May. Moral of the story? Marc (we couldn't resist) your calendar for August 9 and set your alarm to shop early, either online or in-store. —Denise Kitt
