When we think of a man who enjoys yachting, we don't immediately imagine him wearing Banana Republic clothing. But that may change now that the San Francisco clothing company is outfitting Oracle Team USA members for any and all formal occasions they may find on their social calendars as they defend their America's Cup trophy in the San Francisco Bay in September.
Confusingly, Louis Vuitton, a designer we would readily imagine on a yachting enthusiast, is the official sponsor of the race, but not the formal clothier—though the brand has opened a pop-up shop at Pier 27/29 in honor of the 2013 race. In any case, we're sure the athletic members of the team will look fetching in their BR garb.
