Let's be honest: your smartphone is just as much a part of your life as your shoes. You can't get very far from your house without it. The only time it leaves your person is when you walk into a yoga room. Some designers have attempted to get into the smartphone game by making cases, sleeves, and pouches. But if it's glued to your hand anyway, maybe it's time to give your phone some more practical—and fashion forward—swag.

Accessories designer (and California native) David Galan released a phone-clutch that comes with a chunky leather chain so that you can actually attach it to your wrist. Perfect for those prone to forgetfulness.

You can also make like Rihanna and slip your fingers into the Knucklecase, an ingeniously designed case and grip for your phone. Machined from a solid block of aluminum, it's brass-knuckle design will stylishly secure your phone to your hand—just don't try to take it through airport security, as the Knucklecase is on the TSA's confiscate list.

If the Knucklecase is a little too tough for your taste, Marc by Marc Jacobs has this golden number that attaches to just two fingers. Made of polycarbonate, it's not as threatening to either your wallet or (hopefully) the TSA.Mallory Farrugia
