Welcome to Racked SF's search for San Francisco's hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile a dozen-plus smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!

Following a childhood and teenage love of dance and choreography, Jessica Rae formed her own dance troupe in San Francisco several years ago called Desired Temptations. But that success wasn't enough: she went on to create her own talent agency and dance/workout studio as well. The three-tiered business is now located in downtown San Francisco, right above Ruby Skye where Rae and her dancers often perform. Read on to get to know the multi-talented Jessica Rae better!
How long have you been a trainer?
"I've been a ance Instructor for 8years."
What prompted you to become one—did you have a different career path in mind prior?
"I created a dance troupe called Desired Temptations which is now represented by (my business) RAE Model & Talent Agency along with other talented performers. I've always choreographed dance sequences with my girlfriends growing up, and I guess my hobby turned into a business."
What classes do you teach, and which is your favorite/why?
"I currently teach Cardio Dance, a dance fitness class held in my studio, RAE Studios, another division to the agency. I teach because I love ending my day in the studio with eager students who want to learn sassy movements while getting a cardio work out."
Describe your training style: Are you drill sergeant? More laid back?
"A little of both, laid back in the studio leaving some room for sassy dancing, but definitely more of a drill sergeant when it comes to MMA and training with my EMPOWER family!"
What's one piece of advice everyone should hear before beginning a new workout?
"Try taking an extended walk to your fitness/workout location while listening to your favorite song that inspires your inner energy bubble to GET PUMPED."
Tell us a fun fact about you—the weirder and wackier, the better.
"Earlier this year I dressed as the "Harlem Shake Rabbit" with my dance troupe. Follow the white rabbit. We also rent costumes!"
