San Francisco native Derek Lam, as always, is crushing it with his brand-new line of shoes, his eponymous clothing line and his diffusion label 10 Crosby. And now he's taking the crushing a step further by creating a new wine called Poetry by Derek Lam. He's collaborating with Cliff Lede Vineyards in Napa to create the cabernet sauvignon—the vineyard happens to have a resort called the Poetry Inn. He tells WWD that making wine is not so different from making clothing:
To create a wine, which may seem [completely different from] creating fashion, actually has many parallels. The most exciting intersection is that [each] comes from a passion for imagination and creativity.
The WWD article also reveals his thoughts on platforms, what everyone should have in their closet, and more.
