Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
As we get closer to snowboarding season, you'll be able to get your gear from two new flagship Burton stores this fall. The first store will open in Berkeley, followed by a second on Haight Street, in the space where SFO Snowboarding recently closed. The Berkeley shop at 1840 Fourth Street will be the larger of the two and include more merchandise year-round. With thousands of snowboarders driving from the Bay Area to Tahoe each year, Burton could not have picked a better location to hawk snowboards, outerwear, boots, and bindings for men, women, and kids. Stay tuned for specific opening dates, and see you on the mountain!
