SAN FRANCISCO—Fall is almost upon us. Here are the 10 restaurant openings we're most excited to see before the end of 2013.

SAN FRANCISCO—And of course, a hot fall wouldn't be hot without 10 awesome bars on the way. Here are our picks for where we can't wait to drink this autumn.

SAN FRANCISCO—Happy Burning Man week! While everyone's on the playa or away for Labor Day, it might be a great time to check out some of the hardest-to-get-into restaurants in SF. Here are 15 places that might actually have reservations, for once.

JACKSON SQUARE—Only a month and a half in at Roka Akor, star bartender Daniel Hyatt has departed. But he'll be at Mission Bowling Club this Monday, if you want to catch him.

THE MISSION—We caught up with Adriano Paganini and Brian Reccow to talk about Lolinda's first year in business, and why it took so long to get the roof deck online.

SOMA—Marin Sun Farms, the sustainable butchery operation, had its new SOMA processing facility vandalized by militant animal-rights activists.

NOPA/WESTERN ADDITION—Ryan Farr and the 4505 Meats team have scored the perfect space for their meat-centric operations: the former Da' Pitt on Divis.

FILLMORE/ROCKRIDGE—A few openings this week: Palmer's Tavern, the new restaurant on Fillmore from the Leopold's folks; Stuffed, the long-delayed Mission pierogi palace; and Bourbon & Beef, a Latin fusion spot in Oakland.
