We've been following Poshmark's ascent since the clothes-reselling mobile app launched a couple years ago in Menlo Park. Since then, they've hosted their signature "Posh Parties" across the country, where Poshmark devotees meet up IRL, share a cocktail or two, and literally buy and sell the clothes off each others' backs. The parties have been such a success that it's no surprise the company is putting together the mother of all Posh Parties: PoshFest 2013 is October 19 and 20 at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas.
The folks behind Poshmark were inspired to throw PoshFest 2013 after hearing stories of members who have made a job out of trading items on the site, in some cases saving their families from financial trouble. Other Poshers have met in-person and become best friends. PoshFest will celebrate these great experiences—and hopefully create some new ones—with workshops, interactive panels, guest speakers, goodie bags, and of course, buying and selling!
Let's be honest: you're not wearing at least 15% of your closet right now. Why not sell some previously-loved pieces on Poshmark buy a ticket to Vegas? Early bird tickets are available before August 20 for $100, after that the price jumps to $150.— Denise Kitt
