"If Alexis could ever tear himself away from Brooklyn, he would choose to live in San Francisco," said Pascale Cohen, Alexis Bittar's director of public relations, at an unveiling of the jewelry designer's Fall 2013 editorial collection. And SF clearly loves him right back. On Friday evening at the Alexis Bittar store on Fillmore, a crowd of devoted enthusiasts filled the room to capacity, all eager for the unveiling. The pieces are available for purchase exclusively at these roving store events.
The traveling party is a celebration of jewelry that's been featured in media and runway shows (i.e. these chandelier earrings used by Phillip Lim), and attendees have the opportunity to purchase the pieces, which are limited to just 5-20 per style. Rubbing elbows with the brand's biggest fans, we had to ask, "What is one piece by Alexis Bittar that you cannot live without?"
